    Project Debug | General Engineer | Singapore (HYBRID) | Full-time | debug.com

Project Debug raises, sorts by sex, and releases millions of (non-biting) male mosquitoes in Singapore to reduce the local mosquito population and prevent the spread of dengue and other mosquito-borne illnesses. Our trial in Fresno, CA showed a 95% reduction in female mosquitoes during the seasonal peak.

Our engineering team is pretty small and we need a solid generalist engineer who is interested in becoming a domain expert in our factory, where we do automated rearing and sex sorting. If you run a homelab, have tinkered with Arduino, and can prompt/write some Python, we can teach you everything you need to know about our stack (Go, Python, React, Kubernetes, Tensorflow).

Reach out to katejm@debugproject.com and please mention HN in your email.

As others have said, awesome project. I hope you are super successful.

Somewhat limited applicant pool with it being based in Singapore sadly.

Also, debug.com is a killer domain name, I'd love to hear how you got hold of that one.

Latitude AI | Software Engineer | Pittsburgh, Palo Alto, Dearborn, Remote (US) | Full-time | lat.ai

We make automated driving software. As an independent company owned by Ford we need to ship a consumer-facing product at scale & reliability not common for our space. Yet we have the freedom to move fast. 2026 is our first time shipping a customer fleet, so times are exciting.

Several open roles on the careers site: https://lat.ai/careers

But the _best one_ is on my team (Data Platform): https://grnh.se/12jfaoak1us. Looking for a generalist SWE with strong opinions about data modeling and storytelling. Our stack (BQ, various dashboard & notebooking tools, conversational analytics) is heavily used at the company for all decision-making. An ideal candidate would have product vision, help us adapt for deeper adoption, and guide customers to solve real problems (vs vanity metrics/dashboards or get stuck in XY-problems).

Very competitive pay; bonuses above the norm (levels.fyi seems to have a good bead). Visa sponsorships: yes. Outside-US hires/relocations: sadly no. Email in profile (or find me on dbt, Superset, k8s Slack), AMA.

    MONUMENTAL | https://www.monumental.co/ | Amsterdam, The Netherlands | Full Time | Onsite

We make robots that autonomously construct buildings. We are currently developing and manufacturing our autonomous bricklaying system in the beautiful centre of Amsterdam. And our robots are already earning real revenue operating on construction sites all over the Netherlands.

We're looking for experienced software engineers for many roles. You can help us solve problems like:

    - Data sync and analytics queries across a fleet of robots (that can be offline for hours at a time)

    - Modelling buildings in code and finding the right UI for operators to edit them

    - Designing systems for robots to drive safely and fully autonomously around a building site

Check out the progress we've already made on Atrium, our operating system for robotics: https://www.monumental.co/atrium

We're rapidly scaling up operations and we need experienced engineers who can build the systems that manage all of that complexity. If you think that 'full-stack' could reasonably mean debugging firmware, mixing buckets of mortar _and_ writing React components, we are looking for you. Robotics experience not required!

    Stellar | Amsterdam, the Netherlands | Onsite (2 days remote OK) | €70-100k + equity | https://stellarcs.ai

Hey, I'm one of Stellar's founders. We're building AI for large contact centers, our primary product is voice.

Contact centers are the last place where companies actually talk to their customers. We listen to calls every week and it's fascinating. AI here helps real people: shorter wait times, 24/7 support, lower cost. We’ve helped companies go from 60 to 98% pickup rate in weeks. We’ve had (human) agents asking us to accelerate our roll out plan because the days with Stellar are so much better than the days without.

We’re all builders. Everybody in our company still writes code. We have one role open:

We are looking for implementation leads that love working with clients. FDEs welcome as well.

This role is perfect if you:

    * Want massive ownership at a small team

    * Actually enjoy solving hard problems (real-time audio at enterprise scale)

    * Think making AI sound human in niche dialects is a fun challenge

Find the full vacancies here: https://www.stellarcs.ai/careers

EU work authorization is required. No visa sponsorship available.

Apply: e-mail is in my profile, please indicate HN in your e-mail.

    Amplify Renewables | Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform | REMOTE (US; SF or Seattle a plus) | Full-Time | $150k - $250k (all cash) | https://amplifyrenewables.com

We're a systematic energy forecasting and trading company working to make the grid more predictable and reliable. We ingest a lot of messy, heterogeneous data (market, generator, weather, outage) and build models to forecast it. You would work closely together with the founders and take over the technical direction for our data systems end-to-end. Team is ex-D.E. Shaw, Optiver, and Stanford. We're bootstrapped, profitable, and growing. Compensation is all-cash and paid from company profits, not venture funding.

      What we're looking for:
      - 4+ years shipping and maintaining software
      - Strong Python skills (writing, maintaining, packaging)
      - Experience with multiprocessed and HPC workloads
      - Crisp written communication — we're deep-work focused and async-heavy

Nice to have: data lake / Parquet architectures, Rust (esp. PyO3 extensions)

Remote-first. We meet in person multiple times a year. Non-US candidates welcome if you can overlap 4+ hours with PST.

Apply: email hiring@amplifyrenewables.com with resume + an (optional) short note on a data platform problem you've owned. Please mention HN.

Search terms: data platform, data engineering, Python, Rust, Parquet, HPC, energy, power markets, ISO, forecasting, trading, Polars

    Deep Core Technology | Founding Engineer | REMOTE (CANADA) | Full Time | Salary: $105,000 - $125,000 CAD + 1% equity

Company: We’re building a geologic modelling software, based on reasoning, to help mining and mineral exploration companies work faster. Our goal is to create a way to enable open-ended, interpretive geologic problem solving to be done programmatically, changing the way to explore for hard rock and critical minerals. Currently in active fundraising.

Role: You are the founding engineer on the team, joining co-founder (Neil, CEO) and myself (Jeff, CTO) as first employee. You’ll have a deep influence over systems and architecture. - Eager to learn about mining domain knowledge around the software.

    - Ownership of the codebase, and the systems that support the software (project management, CI/CD, monitoring, etc.)

    - Open to doing a yearly month abroad with Neil and I. Last year, it was Oaxaca, Mexico.

Apply: Shoot me an email at jeff@deepcoretech.com with a resume, and a short blurb about yourself. If you include a 1 minute video/Loom, I'd love to see it. Must be eligible to work in Canada without a VISA requirement. We are located in Squamish, BC.

Applicants must meet a high bar - I personally review every hire. In return you’ll get:

      * Flexibility and a low-bureaucracy environment
      * Clients that won’t treat the vendor like “the B Team”
      * The chance to act as a code architect, not just implement tickets
      * Exposure to a wide variety of industries and modern challenges
      * Me as your personal champion and advocate

Feel free to submit, even if you already did in the past.

    We’re currently especially seeking:

Back-end, Front-end, and Full-Stack Software Engineers, Tiers 3 and 4 (Typescript/Javascript, React, NextJS; Ruby on Rails; Python; DevOps, and third-party API integrations)

Our Tier 3 ("mid-tier") roles are typically 5-10 years experience with $150-$180K total annual comp.

Our Tier 4 ("senior") roles are 11-20 years experience, $215-$260K total annual comp.

(Higher tiers exist, and we always welcome exceptional applications.)

Though not yet universal, many of our clients are now demanding senior/staff engineers with success using modern agentic approaches. Be ready to explain where current models work well and where they do not.

Hey HN! Air Space Intelligence (https://www.airspace-intelligence.com) is hiring. We are a frontier AI and product company for the critical industries and defense, backed by a16z.

We’re rebuilding America’s air traffic control system from scratch. What we do in the next two years will define how this country moves through the sky for the next fifty.

At the core is one of the largest real-time optimization problems in the world: how do you safely sequence ~40,000 flights/day while routing around weather, military airspace, equipment outages, and constant real-world churn? The system has to be right every time, and reliable at scale.

We’re hiring across Backend, Infrastructure, and Frontend (ICs and Tech Leads).

One of our roles (with a small puzzle at the bottom that routes to my email): https://www.airspace-intelligence.com/careers/role?=1336c828... - include “HackerNews” in the subject so I can prioritize.

If you want a problem that is genuinely hard, consequential, and urgent - this is the moment to reach out.

Chestnut | Senior Product Engineer | SF or Seattle (Hybrid) | https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/Chestnut

I'm Nick, CTO & co-founder. We're Rippling, but for insurance carriers paying their sales force. Every policy sold triggers a chain of payouts across brokers, agents, and sub-agents. Today that runs on spreadsheets and legacy vendor systems and tomorrow they'll run on Chestnut. Nationwide and other major carriers have already made the switch.

Revenue is up 8x in the last year. We're backed by a16z. Founding team came out of leadership at Ethos (insuretech that recently IPO'd in January).

The work is state-heavy and correctness-critical: payouts that must reconcile with finance to the cent, dynamic agent hierarchies, retries, chargebacks, partial failures. These systems move real money and cannot drift.

You'll design schemas, build backend logic, ship UI, deploy, and own the sharp edges that show up with real enterprise customers.

Stack: Go, TypeScript/React, Postgres, Temporal, Kubernetes, AWS. We use AI aggressively and expect you to as well.

We're looking for 3–6 years on real product systems. You're thoughtful about invariants and failure modes.

Fortech Engineering | Full Stack Software Engineer | Primarily remote (Waterloo region, Canada) | $140-170K CAD + performance pay + earned equity

Electrical and mechanical engineering consulting firm in Waterloo, serving the Canadian building construction industry — a market that's still mostly designed the old way. I designed the original platform schema and UX vision; my early code attempts got abandoned when running and growing the firm took priority. The years since have been spent figuring out how to scale this properly and fill those gaps. We're now at the depth and size to support a real build — with no committee in the way, and with my time properly committed to it this time. I'm hiring an exceptional software engineer to take it to the production platform it was always meant to be.

Real users, direct collaboration with the founder, and 20 years of MEP practice plus the platform vision. Few founders building automation in this space bring both.

Profitable, bootstrapped, 18 years old. Equity is earned, not granted — a real cut of a real business, not options in something that may or may not happen.

Stack: TypeScript, React, Tailwind, shadcn/ui, AG Grid, TanStack Query, Drizzle, PostgreSQL, Python (FastAPI), Node.js, Docker.

Looking for: full-stack, agentic-first as a daily working mode, shipper not writer.

Spacelift | Remote (Europe) | Full-time | Senior Software Engineer | $80k-$110k+ (can go higher)

We're a VC-funded startup (recently raised $51M Series C) building an infrastructure orchestrator and collaborative management platform for Infrastructure-as-Code – from OpenTofu, Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, Pulumi, Kubernetes, to Ansible.

On the backend we're using 100% Go with AWS primitives. Ideally you'd have experience working with an IaC tool, i.e. Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, or SaltStack.

Overall we have a deeply technical product, trying to build something customers love to use, and have a lot of happy and satisfied customers. We promise interesting work, the ability to open source parts of the project which don't give us a business advantage, as well as healthy working hours.

    * Product Software Engineering (Quantitative Modeling)

    * Program Synthesis Engineering

    * Applied Category Theory Research

    * Bayesian Software Engineering

Marker Learning - Founding Full Stack Engineer – Remote (USA) – 180-250k

I have dyslexia. I was one of the lucky ones. Diagnosed at eight, I got accommodations and support before things spiraled. Most kids aren't so lucky. The path from initial concern to diagnosis can take years and cost families upward of $5,000. For many, it never comes at all. In one study, 50% of prisoners were found to be dyslexic, with 80% functionally illiterate.

Behind every missed diagnosis is a kid who gets told they're lazy, when the reality is no one ever gave them the right test.

Marker Learning is building an AI-enhanced assessment platform that makes identifying learning differences faster, cheaper, and more equitable, especially for multilingual students who are routinely misidentified or overlooked. Imagine if every kid could be screened for learning differences as easily as they're screened for vision. That's what we're building.

This isn't a chatbot or a homework helper. We're a Series B company backed by Reach Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and Primary, running a multi-million-dollar longitudinal study spanning K–12 and developing the psychometric engine behind it. We need engineers who are excited by that.

We're hiring a hands-on full-stack engineer (React, Node.js, TypeScript) to help build and scale the platform: adaptive testing infrastructure, AI-powered scoring scoring and data pipelines, and the systems that maintain clinical rigor at scale. High autonomy, lightweight process, fast-paced. 8–10+ years, ideally with 0-to-1 or early-stage experience. You'll work directly with psychometrics, product, and data science, and the engineering decisions you make now will define the platform for years.

Reach out directly with your gh, linkedin, and resume and why you want this position to lucie@markerlearning.com. Please specify your location, if you are interested in full time, contract or open to both. Make the subject "Founding Engineer Application (I am not a bot)".

This is the first C job I've encountered in the "Who's Hiring" thread.

I applied with my C transpiler sideproject and my substack samples that show programmers how to turn math papers into C code.

Loophole Labs | Senior Systems Engineer | REMOTE (Americas & Europe) | $150k–195k USD + equity | Go, Zig, Rust, C, eBPF, CRIU, Kubernetes

We make Architect: a Kubernetes runtime that hibernates idle pods in place and wakes them in 50ms with TCP connections intact. Five engineers. You'd be the 6th.

If tracing an x86 instruction in the morning and hunting a control-plane race in the afternoon both sound fun, and you insist on measuring rather than guessing, this is the job.

Customers run Architect for workloads where cold starts hurt: real-time voice & video AI agents, long-warming JVM apps, stateful data services that can't be rescheduled cheaply. 1.0 shipped Q1 2026; you'd join mid-way through 2.0. Seed-stage, VC-funded, a few years of runway. Fully distributed across the Americas and Europe.

    What you'd work on:

    - Hibernation surface: containerd shims and CRUISE, our Zig-native CRIU replacement.

    - Control plane: per-node DaemonSet streaming checkpoints; admission controller resizing hibernated pods in place.

    - Networking and migration: eBPF/XDP at line rate; cross-node live migration to production; cross-cloud next.

You're a senior generalist. Years across the stack: assembly to frontends, hardware-near, comfortable in x86. Tests ship with the code, decisions get worked out in writing, and you measure rather than guess. Strong in Go; willing to use Zig, Rust, or C.

Bonus: eBPF/XDP, CRIU, Linux kernel internals, containerd, gVisor, live migration, or public writing in kernel/container/eBPF land. Strong systems depth and the willingness to pick up the rest is enough on its own.

Apply: https://loopholelabs.io/careers - we respond within the week (typically a few days).

    Y Combinator | Product Engineers on YC's own team | San Francisco | Full Time | $185K-$485K

I'm Ryan, an EM and engineer here at YC. We have a small, 18-person software team with no PMs -- engineers own everything end-to-end.

We build the software behind YC's $6B in investments: tools that help partners evaluate thousands of startups per batch, AI-powered apps that founders use every day, and platforms like Work at a Startup that connect candidates with YC companies. Engineers get unlimited AI tokens -- both for development and to build AI-powered products. What wouldn't you build to help founders + YC with that much firepower?

What makes this different from other roles:

    * You'd learn more about startups here than you could possibly imagine. Every batch brings hundreds of founders building things across every industry, and you're right in the middle of it.

    * We attend Demo Day, founder dinners, and work directly with partners and many of the companies. (They make great products!)

    * We pay well, offer carry in the fund (like equity), and provide generous relocation support if you're not in SF yet.

    Two roles open:

    * Product Engineer -- full-stack, own the product lifecycle. Rails/React stack. Build tools that power how YC invests in and supports startups. It's a wide range, and sometimes it feels like labs-like work, other times it feels like a supersuit to power founders and our Partners like Garry and Jared.

    * Community Builder and Software Engineer -- hybrid role. Run YC's talent-facing programs (meetups, tech talks, career expos) AND build the software that makes them scale. You need to be a great engineer and LOVE to build and support communities.

We're also exploring a Technical Chief of Staff role to work with one of our GPs -- someone who can think analytically, drive operations, and scale what they do with software.

Checkout more about the roles, and email me directly if you're excited to learn more about startups than you will anywhere else - ryan@ycombinator.com

    Form AI | Full-Stack AI Engineer (Contract) | REMOTE (US) / Austin | https://formai.build

Form is an AI fluency/integration startup for executives & their teams. We build AI applications tailored to how clients work, and need an engineer to do the building.

A typical engagement starts with a client describing a workflow eating their week. You scope alongside them, then build something that makes it disappear. Stack is whatever fits: TypeScript and Python, React or Next.js, Claude and other LLM APIs, integrations with the SaaS our clients use (Notion, Slack, Google Workspace). RAG, agents, prompt engineering, and evals when the work calls for them, not for show.

We're looking for someone who has shipped end-to-end as an early engineer somewhere small, has real opinions about LLM applications, and writes readable code. Comfort scoping with clients and communicating in writing is essential, since most of our work happens that way.

1099 fractional, paid monthly. 10-20 hrs/week, $75-150/hour. 40-hour monthly minimum, scaling with client demand. Potential to convert to a full-time role ($150k-$220k) as the practice grows.

Remote, Austin/US-based. To apply: https://formai.build/jobs or email jobs@formai.build.

    Missive | Senior Backend Developer | REMOTE | Full-time

Missive brings inbox collaboration to teams that run on email.

Pango is building the world's first Agentic Operating System for e-commerce logistics. Our vision is to create the AI e-commerce employee of the future. We are forming our core team in Stockholm and are looking for exceptional engineers.

You are a good fit if:

    * You are comfortable maintaining, expanding and operating a substantial chunk of a B2B SaaS platform with a high sense of ownership.

    * E-commerce (Shopify, Magento, other platforms, shipping carrier integrations) experience is a plus.

It's insanely fun to work on and we have a shot at building a huge business in the connected urban farming space. If you’re big into computer vision, consumer products that are fun, and an awesome team we would love to chat. The Coop has an automatic door + cameras doing computer vision work (predator detection, egg alerts, remote health monitoring, etc). It's a super exciting time and are seeing directional product market fit which I'm thrilled about. Seriously go check out our website, it's a super fun + amazing product.

We’re a tight-knit team of 5 people with 15+ years of experience working together. We’re gritty and passionate without taking ourselves too seriously - and we’re here to build something really exciting that helps people reconnect with their food and the planet. We're VC backed (call it $5M) by some of the world's best investors but we are a scrappy small team that moves fast.

Also, we LOVE working with founders so if you've started a company before that's epic.

Opendate | Senior Full Stack Engineer (Ruby on Rails) | REMOTE (US only) | Full-time | https://www.opendate.io/careers/senior-full-stack-software-e...

Opendate is the operating system for live music venues — booking, ticketing, marketing, and settlement, all in one place. We replace the tangle of spreadsheets, holds-and-confirms email chains, and ticketing platforms that independent venues, promoters, and festivals have been duct-taping together for decades. Customers range from 200-cap clubs to multi-day festivals.

We're a Rails shop with real backend problems: multi-tenant ticketing at on-sale scale, financial settlements that have to reconcile to the penny, and integrations with the rest of the music industry's plumbing (Stripe, Dwolla, Seats.io, Twilio, SendGrid). If you like systems where correctness actually matters and the users are people you can go meet at a show, you'll fit in.

Stack: Rails, React/Redux, PostgreSQL, Redis, BigQuery, AWS, GCP, Docker, Terraform. Flutter on mobile. AI-first engineering culture — Cursor, Claude Code, and Copilot are part of the daily workflow, not banned from it.

100% remote within the US (no sponsorship), with optional Indianapolis or Chicago offices if you want them. Looking for 5+ years of senior full-stack experience, comfortable owning projects end-to-end and shipping to production weekly.

Burnin (London or NYC) | Founding Research Scientist + Founding Engineering Lead | Hybrid (Some on-site) | Full-time

We are building the trust stack for AI code generation, targeted at high-stakes computing where wrong numbers cost real money: a statically typed functional language designed for coding models, a compiler whose guarantees double as audit-grade trust infrastructure, and a coding model fine-tuned on the language with compiler fitness as the training signal. Language and model are co-designed.

Small team out of PyTorch, FAIR, and Meta. Strong institutional VC support from our pre-seed; active investor interest heading into seed.

Founding Research Scientist: own the agenda across the language and the model. Type system design, compiler analyses that produce useful fitness gradients, and fine-tuning open-weight coding models on a language with no pretraining footprint. Publish in PL and ML venues. Strongest fits cross between machine learning, programming languages, and formal methods. PhD preferred, equivalent output equally fine. Stack is Rust, Lean 4, Python.

Founding Engineering Lead: own engineering across compiler internals, language runtime, GPU backends, notebook and library tooling, and the AI infrastructure around training, evaluation, model release, and likely public inference. We already support x86 and ARM, CUDA and AMD, macOS and Linux, and the matrix grows. Real feel for statically typed functional programming expected; the kind of engineer who picks up Lean or Haskell on a weekend because they wanted to. Have led engineering before, formally or not. Stack is mostly Rust with Python where it earns its place, primarily on AWS.

Both roles: comfortable with early-stage ambiguity, define your own roadmap, defend it with evidence.

Espresso AI | Staff ML, Staff Infra, FDE | Brooklyn or San Francisco | Full time

We're using LLMs to build neural optimizers, neural scheduling systems, and neural workload tuners. (If you're ex-Google, you can think of it like Borg powered by LLMs.)

Today we use ML to make data warehouses and spark jobs more efficient. We're hiring staff ML engineers to train models that can understand how much compute a job needs, how it scales to larger machines, whether a machine can run more jobs, and so on; and staff infra engineers to take those models and deploy them on real-world production systems.

We're also looking for FDEs who can help us talk to users and run pilots. This is a pretty technical role (you need to be able to do data analysis and debug in prod) that's also user-facing - it should be a good fit for a former (or future) technical founder.

If this sounds cool, please email me: ben [at] espresso [dot] ai

    Return | REMOTE | DevOps / Platform engineer | Full-time

Return (https://return.energy) is hiring a DevOps engineer who will build and run the infrastructure behind platforms that accelerate the transition to carbon-free energy. Return's main activity is building and operating industrial-size Battery Energy Storage Systems. Our operations are located in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and Spain. You will be making a measurable (country-level) impact on the transition to renewable energy. Return recently raised €300M to support its growth.

While we employ over 120 people, Return's technical team is still small (15 people). Our platform automates processes in energy storage, monitoring, market optimization, sales, project management, procurement, construction, and customer service. Behind it sits a mix of EU cloud and on-site compute at our battery sites, with strict uptime and security requirements.

During the first four years of operation, we laid the foundation for our platforms, and we are ready to scale up. This is why we are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer who can own the full picture: cloud environments, self-hosted infrastructure at our BESS sites, and the operations centers in Amsterdam and Eindhoven from which we run the fleet.

Your primary focus will be to design, automate, and operate the infrastructure that our virtual battery platform runs on. That means EU-only cloud providers for application workloads, hardened on-premise setups at our sites, and the connectivity in between. You will be the person who decides what gets deployed where, and who makes sure it stays up and stays secure.

We're a globally edge cloud platform for performance and security, emphasizing open standards, sustainable engineering, and resilience-by-design. We're hiring across compute, security, platform engineering, network and edge protocols, release engineering, network architecture, client services engineering, and more.

Rather than building walled gardens, we co-founded the Bytecode Alliance, heavily upstream our work to open standards, actively author IETF drafts, and power the global infrastructure for open-source Python, Rust, Ruby, OpenStreetMap, and much more.

    * The Stack: Rust, C/C++, Go, Javascript, Typescript, WebAssembly (Wasm/WASI), Wasmtime, Cranelift, eBPF/XDP, QUIC, HTTP, TLS, TCP, Varnish/VCL, Linux kernel internals, distributed systems, professional services.

    * Apply: https://www.fastly.com/about/careers

Kanary | Full Stack Engineer | Remote (US) | Competitive Salary + Equity | Python / React

Kanary is a personal security platform that monitors the web to identify and reduce risk based on an individual's threat model. An executive has different exposure than a gamer, and our system classifies each person's risk across 55,000+ sources. We've been building since 2020, started in campaign security, data science, and government agencies, backed by Mozilla and Y Combinator. We have 200+ organizations on the platform and are fully funded by our customers.

Attackers have never had better tools. LLMs, social media, and search surface personal data in new ways. A few prompts can launch a deepfake and impersonation campaign. Risk sources appear and disappear across social platforms, telegram chats, and private data broker platforms. Kanary exists to play the cat and mouse game for people at the speed and scale of an agentic internet.

Kanary is a combination of software workflows (crawling, scraping, automation), AI (data classification, research, code generation), and people (analysts trained to support customers and escalate). This is dynamic system and requires an interest in adversarial programming.

We’re growing our team, and seeking a multifaceted engineer (2+ years experience). Our software stack is python, javascript, react, and for LLMs, we use Anthropic, OpenAI, and experiment with model fine tuning as needed. Experience with web scraping, data pipelines, or security tooling is required.

Engineering Square | AI Engineer | Bay Area, CA | ONSITE | Full-Time

We're hiring an AI Engineer to build and ship production AI systems - not research prototypes. Startup experience is a must: we want someone who has shipped fast in a small team, owned systems end-to-end, and is comfortable with ambiguity. Big-company-only resumes won't be a fit.

You will own: - RAG pipelines and agentic workflows (end-to-end accuracy) - GPU-optimized model deployment (Trident-style architecture) - Production MLOps: distillation, fine-tuning, training orchestration - Data modeling for AI persona capabilities - The infra around it: Docker, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, observability

You should have: - 3-12 years shipping AI/ML in production (notebooks do not count) - Time at a startup or scale-up where you owned what you built - Strong Python; bonus for C++/Java/C# in performance-critical paths - Hands-on with RAG, MLOps tooling, and GPU deployment at scale

W2 full-time. Must be authorized to work in the US. No remote, no C2C.

Hi! We're Ontix. We're building the business layer to connect siloed datasets and query them with natural language, offering insights to SMBs they couldn't get before. We're fully funded by our sibling company, and are looking for remote freelancers in the US and full-time, onsite employees in San Diego, California (if you're into that kind of thing). We're looking for experience in the following roles:

+ QA: We're looking for a QA engineer deeply familiar with the software lifecycle in the age of agentic coding. You'd have a lot of responsibility, but also the opportunity to define what solid QA looks like at Ontix.

+ Azure Cloud Engineer: We're a mostly-AWS shop, but we have a few potential customers that are deeply entrenched in the Azure ecosystem, including a migration from SharePoint to Fabric + OneLake. You'd be leading the charge on that.

+ Infosec + Automated Vulnerability Scanning: If you browse new CVEs over breakfast, we want to talk to you. There's a huge demand among our current customers for continuous vulnerability scanning, both in the codebase and on the deployed edge. We have some test platforms, but would love a more robust solution we can market.

+ Full-Stack WordPress Developer: Our sister company is a bit old school still: If you can parachute in to a PHP + Vue 2/3 + WordPress + AWS EC2 environment, we would love to pass on your number to them.

We're looking to grow quickly as our client base expands. Healthcare, vision, and 401(k) for FTEs. If you're interested in any of these roles, or would like more information in general about us, please visit https://ontix.io or email l33t@ontix.io with a few sentences describing your experience, interest, and where you're located.

Free for users, brand-funded on the commercial side. Working iOS prototype, validated UX, advisory board across enterprise tech and behavioural science, alpha launches lined up for later in 2026.

The founding tech team is already in place across iOS, Flutter, AI/ML, and product design, with backgrounds across agentic AI, consumer fintech, and mobile at scale. The seat we're hiring for is the founding backend / full-stack engineer who'll own the architecture. APIs, data layer, real-time systems, cloud infrastructure. You'll design it from scratch alongside the rest of the team, built for consumer scale from day one.

    What we're looking for:

    - Built and scaled backends for consumer products under real load. Social, marketplace, or community experience a strong plus.

    - Fluent in Python, Go, Node, or similar. Strong opinions on API design, microservices, and data modelling.

    - Comfortable with event-driven architectures, real-time systems, and AWS or GCP at production scale.

    - Bonus: ad-serving infrastructure, partner APIs, rewards/loyalty systems.

    - UK-based already (no net-new visa sponsorship for this role), with us in our London office most days. We're a small team that works best in the room together.

We're vague on the concept for stealth reasons. Happy to take you through our prototype on a call.

Email careers@karmapt.com and mention Hacker News in your note. I'll come back quickly.

SkySafe (https://skysafe.io) | Wireless Engineer (SDR) | San Diego, CA | REMOTE or HYBRID

At SkySafe we build drone detection and tracking at scale.

I am looking for a Wireless Communications Engineer with SDR expertise to join my team; I'm the hiring manager.

    What I'm looking for:

    * Background in wireless communications / signal processing theory and math.

    * Experience building software-based wireless modems.

    * Experience writing and optimizing software-defined radio code in C++ directly.

    What you'd do:

    * Implement all components of software defined modem systems from specifications and alongside our reverse engineering team (no RE experience necessary!)

    * Optimize existing software defined modem systems from both a theory and practice perspective - that is, make both conceptual improvements to algorithmic approaches as well as practical improvements to implemented code.

    * Architect and implement high-level improvements to SDR systems (scheduling, compute offload, etc.).

We have a strong system in place for remote SDR work and are open to remote candidates for this role. If you're in San Diego and want access to an office with nice equipment, that's even better. This position requires access to technology which is controlled by US Export laws, so you also need to be an eligible US Person.

What we have to offer: $145-200k. Fun, small team dynamic. Work with experts in adjacent fields. Startup environment with good work-life balance and limited red tape. Rapid iteration and feedback in the wild - make a change, deploy it, and see telemetry come back in the same day. Good equipment at the office.

Apply: brian@ for a direct line, https://jobs.lever.co/skysafe for the formal route (we have some other roles I'm not the HM for listed there, too, if you're interested in the company!)

Orenva | Senior Contract Engineer | Remote | Contract

Orenva is building governance infrastructure for founder-led businesses using AI — a multi-agent web system that keeps AI and human teams aligned with founder as work scales. Product strategy is authored in depth: agent specs, validation rules, intake design, output schemas, governance checks, and platform contracts. Your job is to wire authored input into a working system, not invent the product.

Likely Python or TypeScript; I'm open to your recommendation based on the spec. Multi-agent runtime, schema-first design, full-stack web, versioned outputs. Fixed-bid preferred; hourly with cap accepted. Subcontracting mid-grade under your senior oversight welcome.

Red Balloon Security | Security Researchers, Software Engineers | NYC, Northern Virginia | ONSITE, HYBRID | Full-time, Interns (paid) | US Citizenship Required | https://redballoonsecurity.com

We are a team of expert researchers and engineers focused on securing embedded devices. We work with partners across critical industries, and on government-funded research programs (think DARPA). "Full-stack" for us doesn't just stop at back end code; it means being comfortable with operating systems, firmware, and signals going over the wire. You'll succeed here if you are a quick learner who loves working independently on tough, technical problems nobody has ever solved before.

    Day-to-day tasks might include:

    * Tearing apart a device in our lab, reverse engineering its firmware, and finding security vulnerabilities

    * Developing an automated, robotic platform for hardware reverse engineering (custom hardware, vision models, user interfaces, etc.)

    * Hooking and patching RTOS kernel functions to execute defensive device integrity validation code, without violating real-time requirements

    * Building scalable servers for processing millions of device telemetry messages across thousands of concurrent connections

    * Maintaining open-source reverse engineering tools (like OFRAK https://ofrak.com) and cooking up fun demos for hacker conferences (like this web game we built for DEF CON in 2023 https://ofrak.com/tetris/)

Our main office is in Manhattan, but we are building out a new office in Northern Virginia. US citizenship required. Bonus points if you have an active security clearance, or are willing to get one.

    Level 12 | Full Stack Web Developer - Python, JavaScript, SQL | Mid-Level & Senior | REMOTE | SALARY:$95K-145K+ | https://www.level12.io/careers/

Level 12 is a software consulting and custom development agency. We have mid and senior level positions. Our job descriptions are written by developers for developers. No HR fluff here, we want you to know what you are really getting into:

    https://www.level12.io/careers/

    - We have a commitment to transparency and offer a "no surprises experience" throughout the interview and hiring process. We value candor...as evidenced by the length of our job description. :)

    - Our CEO prefers the title CED, Chief Executive Developer. Engineering and operational concerns don't take a back seat when potential sales come to the front door.

    - You will be working remote with a team that is all working remote and has been for years. Let's make the best use of our time by not commuting.

    - We practice and preach sound development practices. You are likely to learn and grow as a developer while working here.

I'm a senior level dev looking at the senior role, but it says 2-3 years of python experience at minimum. I don't have that, so I thought I'd look at the mid-level role which says "3-6 years developing database-driven web applications with (preferably) Python" but then "candidates without Python experience may still be considered if they have experience with similar tech."

How True is this? Have you hired anyone before with experience but that didn't have a lot of python experience? I've mostly worked in node, but I've done a little with python and could start some django courses this weekend if you're actually giving people shots here.

      • rsyring 11 hours ago

It's a good question and I should update those sections to make Python a harder requirement.

We've tried to be flexible historically but found that we really need folks who are fluent in Python because our skills tests all use Python and we need devs to hit the ground running on day 1 and all our projects are in Python.

I did recently hire a dev whose Python is a bit rusty but who made it through the skills tests. But, for the most part, devs without solid and recent Python experience aren't getting through our skills tests.

Eve | Founding Engineer | San Francisco, CA | https://www.helloeve.co/

Company: We are building an executive voice engine (Eve). This is a multi-agent AI system that learns how a leader thinks and produces content indistinguishable from what they'd write. Think: a specialized vertical AI solution that uses coordinated specialized agents, persistent context graphs, a learning flywheel that compounds with every piece. We have paying customers and a growing agency channel, mostly word of mouth.

Role: Full AI stack + product. Agent orchestration, evals, RAG, prompt chaining, model trade-offs, and customer-facing features. TypeScript, SvelteKit, Cloudflare Workers, Postgres.

You: Full-stack in the real sense (AI systems + infra + product). At least five years experience shipping code into production systems including production AI. Move fast, care deeply, and be curious.

Culture: We are a team of four. The founder is technical and moving to spend more time in growing the business. Architecture is early enough that your decisions define the system.

Apply: Send an email to hello [at] helloeve.co.

Use the subject line: My voice is {fill in your description}.

In the body, include your favorite piece of content you've published and why it matters to have your voice out there.

Please also share links to your portfolio and anything that shows how you think about AI systems, e.g. an eval harness, a multi-agent project, a write-up, a side project, and most importantly, why you + why you want to be part of the team.

    SpruceID (YC W21) | REMOTE (US-Based Preferred) | Full-Time | spruceid.com

Spruce lets users control their data across the web. Instead of users logging into platforms, we believe platforms should request to access data vaults controlled by users.

The demand for trusted digital ID is accelerating as AI deepfakes begin to destroy most of the ways we use to verify identity today. How private or secure is it to hold your driver's license or passport up to a webcam to get a bank account? Was it ever private or secure? Stable diffusion can break so much of this already. Society will need trusted digital IDs and credentials. Our mission is to allow them to be controlled by individuals, with safeguards to prevent descents into surveillance states and checkpoint societies.

We are the main implementers of category-defining initiatives such as the digital ID program for the California DMV, and the verifiable digital credentials program in Utah. We are private sector participants in NIST's National Cyber Security of Excellence initiative for privacy-preserving digital ID.

We are hiring skilled engineers who care about making a real impact in improving public services, digital autonomy, and user privacy for the world. We work closely with public sector agencies, and have high regard for public servants. We have a strong engineering and customer-oriented culture, and are not simply a SaaS product or AI wrapper. Our roles are not for the faint of heart: you will be expected to work hard and learn a lot in this role.

Our engineers are ambitious to get outcomes for our customers and their constituents. On any given day, they may write great Rust/C#/TypeScript, deal with mainframe dumps, read policy documents, respond to technical RFIs/RFPs, manage on-prem environments, implement new NFC + Bluetooth protocols in Swift/Kotlin, create CI/CD processes that enforce W3C accessibility guidelines and i18n requirements, rewrite lost specs from disassembled binaries, figure out stablecoin payments, and design new protections for public key infrastructure. It is a team effort, and people with T-shirt shaped skills are able to collaborate and learn a ton from each other every day.

We are interested in candidates who want to be proud of the meaningful impact they make for society, even if it takes time to get right. This is not the right job for someone who wants to "join a cool new AI startup" that implodes or exits in under a year.

We host datasets, benchmarks, and use-case challenges, plus the orchestration layer to run quantum algorithms and workflows across hardware backends, so results are reproducible, comparable, and actually move the field forward. We grew out of the QuantX hackathons at École Polytechnique and now run competitions and a public datasets hub for partners across pharma, finance, energy, and defense.

    We're hiring:

    * Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Rust/React). Build the platform end to end: datasets hub, challenges, leaderboards, and the workflow engine that orchestrates quantum jobs across backends. You own features from schema to UI and care about developer experience. Bonus: data, ML, or research-platform experience.

    * Quantum Computing Expert. Design challenges, curate datasets, define benchmarks, and shape how algorithms and workflows run on the platform. Work directly with enterprise partners to translate their problems into something the community can solve. PhD or equivalent depth in quantum algorithms, QML, or optimization.

    * Chief Commercial Officer, US. Own US go-to-market end to end: strategy, enterprise pipeline, team build-out. You've scaled commercial functions at a deep-tech, dev-tools, or research-platform company. Based in the US.

    * Head of Marketing. Positioning, demand gen, and brand for a category still being defined. B2B technical marketing background required; quantum experience welcome but not necessary, curiosity is.

    * Product Manager. Drive the roadmap across the datasets hub, challenges platform, benchmarks, and workflow orchestration. Strong technical instincts and experience shipping developer or research-facing products.

    * Sales, EU. Enterprise sales into R&D and innovation teams across Europe. Long, technical sales cycles, consultative selling, comfort talking to PhDs and procurement on the same day. EU-based, remote.

Reach out to jannes[at]aqora.io with a short note on why this problem space and what you've built or sold before.

Startup working on AI Healthcare solutions (plus some random experiments) | REMOTE(US, Pacific time zone) | Full time and project based

Full time engineering role (Remote, US person required; Pacific time zone)

Stack: C#, Python, Gemini API on Windows, lots of legacy systems/constrained enterprise environment. Health systems experience preferred. Understanding of cost effective, reliable LLM API use. Should be flexible: do PM-like work with less-technical client domain experts, solve problems end to end, willing to data cleaning and detailed work for client goals and security/compliance gruntwork, even when it's not technically elegant. Self motivated, willing to understand legacy and undocumented codebases, but also willing to take instructions.

Ideal candidate has real (pre-Claude Code) experience, but is ready to do fast iteration in post-AI world, while actually reading what the AI does. We're ok if your stack is different, if you're both technically mature and up to date on modern fast-turnaround AI-based development. Probably in the 5+ year experience range.

REMOTE anywhere, project based or initially part time: startup generalist hacker, maintain systems and websites, code one-off prototypes. Should be good enough to code without an AI in a few languages, but an effective AI harness coder. Can do a small but complete app/project end to end, including basic marketing. 2+ year exp or a new grad with a good portfolio or major project; happy to consider more experienced person. Good role for someone who's working on their own startup to pick up some side money and experience. Projects could be anything from game-like apps/novelties to voice tools to utility apps.

REMOTE anywhere, project based or initially part time: help on some more experimental mathy projects. M.S./Ph.D. in statistics, physics or related, with pragmatic programming experience. Possible projects: gaussian process modeling; designing evaluation metrics; compression; Bayesian tools for radiology imaging. May be good for a grad student part time. This is the fun stuff the founder would rather be doing himself if he had the time.

REMOTE (US person) Half-time remote admin/chief of staff type: deal with bookkeeping, compliance, communications, social media, phone calls - save us time on everything non-technical. Should be effective AI user; should have some relevant experience supporting tech business.

Please reply with a salary target. may2026-jobpost@waldrews.anonaddy.com

How's your thoughts about the collaborate with a tech company? where you can find mutliple engineers and team at one place? which is a risk free decision to hire an inhouse team and pay whether their is work or not. Indeed doing that can suggest find a right partner and pay only for the resource you hire. If there is work then pay if not then not.

I know a vendor who can helps you to fulfill this kind of need. If something would be an interesting then can help you to connect with them. Let me know.

Zippy is a fintech company rethinking how people buy one of the most overlooked forms of housing in the U.S.—manufactured homes. Instead of the slow, fragmented, paperwork-heavy mortgage process, Zippy has built a fully digital, end-to-end lending platform that makes getting a home loan fast, simple, and actually user-friendly.

What makes it interesting for an engineer: you’re not just building CRUD apps - you’re owning complex, multi-system infrastructure that touches lending, underwriting, compliance, and customer experience, all in a space that’s historically underserved and inefficient.

At its core, Zippy is using software to unlock access to affordable housing—turning a broken, manual financial process into a scalable, tech-driven product that directly impacts people’s ability to become homeowners.

We’re currently hiring Senior II and Staff Engineers with experience in functional programming languages.

These positions are REMOTE but we are hiring in the following states ONLY: Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin.

vvd | Design Engineer | Remote (work from anywhere) | Full-time | React, TypeScript, Next.js

    https://vvd.world

We’re building tools for storytellers, worldbuilders, writers, and creators.

We’re looking for a Design Engineer who can design and build polished product experiences end-to-end. You should care deeply about taste, interaction, motion, and frontend craft, but also understand enough about APIs, auth, and data flow to avoid getting blocked.

We’re AI-native, but not trying to replace human creativity. We use tools like Cursor and Claude Code as leverage to move faster while keeping a high quality bar.

Strong fit if you’ve shipped real things, can go from rough idea to polished implementation without waiting for perfect specs, and have built interfaces that feel good, not just functional.

Hi! I must say I'm really interested in what you are building there and I'd love to be a part of it. I can't apply for now but, if that's okay, I'd like to connect with you on LinkedIn in order to keep an eye on your enterprise.

As for me, I have a strong background in front-end development, I've been designing and building user interfaces for almost 10 years now. I'm also a passionate fan of Tolkien's works, I read a lot and hope to maybe write someday (more than simple blog articles). You can have a look of what I've done on my website: https://www.jeantinland.com/.

Have a nice day! I hope to be able to work with you in the future!

    • Kathan2651 16 hours ago

Heya, I’m applying for this role, but I wanted to add something.

I’m a big fantasy fan. I used to read Chinese/Korean webnovels, Japanese light novels, manhwas, and I’ve now moved more into epic fantasy. I recently completed the Cosmere and gonna start red rising soon(after I get a job lol)

I’ve also tried writing, didn't get too far with it, but I felt there was still room for a writing tool. Last December, I tried building a new editor because many existing tools felt outdated or didn’t integrate AI well enough(Reedsy, Scrivener, or Google Docs). I built 2–3 pages, but after doing more research, I found that novelium ai was doing something very similar, so I scrapped the idea.

Recently, I started creating a short story again, this time about a magic school. I am gonna use Claude and MCP servers to 3D characters, interactive posts, maybe even small games. It has become easy to do that now, and making complete word(or just I think it is). Idea is still in progress, but it’s something I’m genuinely interested in.

When I checked out vvd, I found it really fascinating. I think it could work very well, and I’d really love to be part of it.

That said, I wanna be honest about it, I’m more of a frontend developer than a designer. I’m interested in design and would love to explore, but I don’t have a strong design portfolio to show yet. Although I have worked on a Three.js to build some cool thing, along with React, TypeScript, Next.js.

If possible, I’d love to connect and see if there’s a way I can be part of vvd.

      Thanks :)

COVU | Data Engineer, Full Stack Engineers (Sr & Staff/Lead), Sr. Product Manager | San Francisco (Hybrid) or REMOTE (US) | Full-time

COVU is an AI-first insurtech startup rebuilding the 20-year-old legacy infrastructure of the $365B+ insurance distribution industry.

We recently announced our $16M funding round (bringing our total to ~$50M) and launched COVU OS. We aren't just slapping an "AI wrapper" onto old software; we built a task-native orchestration layer from scratch. COVU OS converts messy, unstructured insurance workflows (emails, PDFs, manual triage) into defined tasks, dynamically routing them to the right execution layer—whether that's an AI agent, a licensed human professional, or an offshore team.

We are a scrappy, execution-focused team of builders. We heavily encourage using AI tools (Cursor, Copilot, Gemini) in your daily workflow to ship code faster. If you hate spending months in "discovery" and prefer to just build and own production systems end-to-end, you will fit right in.

    The Stack:

    Data: Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Python

Product: TypeScript, React, Node.js / Python backends, Cloud Infrastructure

    Open Roles:

Staff Full Stack Engineer (Technical Lead): You will be a foundational technical leader shaping the architecture of COVU OS. Expect deep, architecture-level design work paired with heavy, hands-on IC contributions.

Sr. Full Stack Engineer: You will own complex product surfaces end-to-end, building out the agentic orchestration layer, user interfaces, and enterprise API integrations.

Data Engineer(Remote): You'll be the primary builder of our "Golden Policy Journal," transforming highly complex, messy carrier data into our single source of truth using Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow.

Sr. Product Manager (COVU OS): You will own the roadmap for our core operating system. We need a highly technical PM who can dive into the weeds of agentic workflows and write specs that engineers actually want to read.

5 of the top 10 pharma (Moderna, Pfizer, others) run discovery with Platforma today. Goal: 10 of 10 by year-end. Hiring 4–5 engineers in 90 days. Our tools are in the methods of approved cancer immunotherapies and COVID vaccines reaching millions. The next paper citing us could be the next drug.

We merged frontend, bioinformatics, and data into one team. AI killed the silo wall. Bioinformaticians who leaned into engineering and engineers who leaned into biology now ship at multiples.

    WHAT YOU'D BUILD

    - Discovery pipelines: raw sequences → pre-IND leads. Antibodies, biomarkers, workflows real scientists use.

    - The SDK for comp scientists: TypeScript, Tengo (a Lua-like workflow DSL — yes, you'll learn it), Rust.

    - The data layer: thousands of formats reduced to one. PFrames, Parquet, DataFusion, lazy columnar everything.

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    - Strong TS in 100k-line monorepos (pnpm, Turbo). Polars > pandas. Node ≥22.

    - Bioinformatics exposure or appetite to learn it month one. We can teach VDJ recombination; not curiosity.

    - Tolerance for sparse docs and niche DSLs. "Fix the SDK, don't work around it."

    OFFER

    - €90–120k base, real ESOP, ARR-tied bonus — when we grow, you grow, in cash, this year.

    - Bizkaia Special Impatriate Regime: ~15–20% effective tax. Beats London / Berlin / Amsterdam net.

    - Visa, relocation, soft-landing. No HR, no take-homes. Direct line to engineering.

    - Bilbao: ocean, mountains, Michelin, low cost of living, highest quality of life. Onsite — context-sharing needs same room.

Email: stanp@milaboratories.com (CEO). Subject "HN", include GitHub. I reply personally. Tell me about a scientific CLI you wrapped, a plugin SDK you built, or a Polars query that survived 50M rows.

Our colleagues across the isle do an awesome job at training the Granite model series, so we (physically and organizationally) sit in a uniquely good place to do impactful work in this space.

I am currently looking for early career scientists and engineers who are interested in LLMs and also one of {programming languages, formal methods, compilers}. Experience with Rust is a plus. Cool systems-y projects with formalizations on paper or in rocq/lean/etc also a plus. Neither is necessary, per se.

SonarMD | Senior Full Stack Engineer | Remote (US East/Central) | $180-220k+ | Unlimited PTO, healthcare, 5% bonus, 401k match

Healthcare AI company. We monitor IBD patients between doctor visits and catch clinical deterioration before it becomes an ER visit. Real patients, real outcomes, peer-reviewed studies.

Node/Express, React/React Native, Python, MongoDB Atlas, Postgres, AWS (EC2, Ansible, the real stuff, not just Lambda bingo). HIPAA/SOC2. Team of 5. Lots of data. More AI and ML in prod every other week. You will contribute to 5 and 6 figure mistakes and also the 6 and 7 figure outcomes. It's just another day in the life. You will discover your gaps quickly and then you get to close them. You will have real access and real responsibility. Your decisions will have meaningful impact on other people's lives. Some people struggle with that. You can't. You will own things. You will learn things. We will build things.

I am six interviews deep into candidates reading me AWS product pages after being asked about their approach to enrichment. If you have ever debugged something in production and have an opinion about literally anything, please talk to me. If you're interested: resume to eng.hiring@sonarmd.com.

If you're really interested: send a cover letter in .md format (no AI, I will know) with answers to: - Last 3 things you personally shipped to prod, preferably ones that failed or had unexpected results - Most recent thing you learned but are too embarrassed to admit you didn't already know - Your 3 biggest pain points working with AI/LLMs/agents - Most recent thing you built that you're legitimately proud of - Preferred tech stack - How many full, 8-hour-day, 5-day-a-week production shipping years you got under your belt, for real

The .md skips the line. I'll read it before anything else in the inbox.

    Prior Labs | Berlin / Freiburg / NYC | ONSITE | Full-time | Multiple Roles

Tables power every financial model, clinical trial, and scientific experiment, but deep learning has mostly ignored them. No natural sequence, no spatial structure, no shared vocabulary across datasets. LLM architectures don't transfer. We built TabPFN, the first foundation model that actually understands tabular data (published in Nature, 3M+ downloads, new SOTA for tabular ML). The hardest problems are still open.

The model is half the product. The other half - training infrastructure, real-time serving, developer platform, reliability - is what turns a research breakthrough into something enterprises trust in production. We're hiring across both.

ML Engineer, Cloud Platform — Design and scale the core infrastructure for serving and finetuning foundation models in production. Early enough that you're making the architecture decisions, not inheriting them.

ML Engineer, Training Infrastructure — Own GPU infrastructure, distributed training performance, and the developer productivity layer (CI, experiment tracking, model registry) that keeps research moving fast.

Full Stack Engineer, ML Platform — Build the product that puts tabular foundation models in users' hands, from data upload through inference and results. You'll work across frontend, backend, and directly with the research team to turn new model capabilities into production features.

Research Engineer, Foundation Model — Design experiments, run ablations, build training infrastructure, contribute to papers. Research engineers here aren't supporting scientists — they are the science team.

Also hiring: Research Scientist, Applied Scientist, Forward Deployed ML Engineer, Developer Relations Engineer, AE, BDR.

20-person team selected from thousands applicants. Backgrounds from Jane Street, Google, CERN, G-Research. Led by Frank Hutter, advised by Yann LeCun and Bernhard Schölkopf. €9M pre-seed from Balderton, with backing from leaders at Hugging Face, DeepMind, and Black Forest Labs. Comp competitive with top AI labs, meaningful equity.

    All roles: https://jobs.priorlabs.ai

Prior Labs | Full Stack Engineer, ML Platform Hiring: Berlin | Salary: Competitive with top AI labs + meaningful equity | Relocation support | Full Time

Building the product that puts tabular foundation models into users' hands. React, FastAPI, Postgres. You'll work across frontend, backend, and directly with researchers shipping new model capabilities to production. 3+ years full stack, strong TypeScript and Python, experience with data-intensive applications. https://jobs.priorlabs.ai

Kinelo | kinelo.com | San Francisco | Onsite (with a bit of flexibility)

Kinelo solves "context myopia": autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents don't know what they don't know, so they can't search or find the background information required to accomplish tasks accurately and effectively. The result looks like slop but it's not due to model performance, more due to workflow integration. From there, we're rapidly moving into organizing humans together with autonomous "AI coworkers" into workflows that span both. Our goal is to change how organizations are run and structured.

We're hiring for two roles right now:

    - Product Engineer (https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/kinelo/jobs/4205846009) -- do you have the software engineering wisdom not yet encoded in an LLM? and do you have product sense and the willingness and desire to think several steps ahead in the market?

    - Founding GTM Lead (https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/kinelo/jobs/4215784009) -- there's no playbook for go-to-market in the category we're creating + the landscape is changing daily. Come architect a strategy and then move mountains to execute on it and help us grow insanely fast.

Competitive salary, meaningful (~first batch of hires) equity, founder previously exited to Apple, strong fundraising history (~$10m).

    Please email us at jobs@kinelo.com.

If you want to stand out:

    - For the product engineer role, tell us how you think the job of a software engineer is changing.

    - For the GTM role, tell us about a time you got massive results with limited resources, all through your ingenuity, creativity, and hard work.

Our fleet, ranging from the 23-foot Explorer to the brand-new 170-foot Spectre, is revolutionizing how we understand and secure our oceans. We work with global navies to deliver maritime domain awareness, partner with governments to map the seafloor in high-resolution, and collaborate with scientists to track climate change and hurricane intensification in real-time.

Maybe you saw that we recently unveiled Spectre, a new class of high-speed USV designed for strike and anti-submarine warfare[1]. Or perhaps you read about our partnership with Meta, where we completed the first-of-its-kind autonomous deep-water cable survey[2]. You might have also seen our ongoing mission with NOAA to map 13,000 square miles of the Mariana Islands[3].

Whether we are hucking drones into Category 4 hurricanes or scaling up the production of the world’s largest autonomous wingsails, we are looking for people who want to build the future of maritime autonomy.

We're hiring for a breadth of different positions across our organization. In software, we're looking for folks in our Perception, Platform/Frontend, and Vehicle teams. Stacks vary, but we're looking primarily for backgrounds in C++ and/or JavaScript (Node, TypeScript, React). All software positions are hybrid roles based out of our HQ in Alameda, just a quick ferry ride across the Bay from San Francisco.

In addition to software, we are also actively hiring for roles in:

    AxisCare | Senior + Mid-Level Software Engineers | Remote (US/Canada, ET/CT/MT) | https://axiscare.com/careers

We build the market-leading SaaS platform for the home care industry: scheduling, billing, payroll, CRM, and clinical documentation for agencies across all 50 US states and 6 countries. ~10,000 baby boomers turn 65 every day; the agencies using our software help them stay in their homes.

We're are small, fast teams that have gone deep on AI-augmented development. Not as a talking point; as the actual way we work. We prototype aggressively, put working software in front of stakeholders before a traditional process would finish a PRD, and iterate from there. We're looking for engineers who already work this way: driving agents on real codebases, maintaining quality when the machine is doing the typing, and knowing when to throw the output away.

Stack: PHP (backend), React + TypeScript (frontend), MySQL, RESTful APIs, AWS. You'll work across the full stack.

Senior (5+ yrs): Product-minded, systems-thinking engineers. You'd lead 1–2 engineers while still taking substantial features from concept to production solo. You mentor others in code design, systems thinking, and driving AI agents effectively.

Mid-Level (2+ yrs): This is a senior-track role. You'll ship real features with mentorship from senior and staff engineers who are deeply invested in your growth. We want engineers who see where things are heading and want to get ahead of it; going deep on architecture, design, and understanding the problems, not just writing the code.

Both roles: We want concrete evidence you use AI as a real tool, not a novelty. Push the tools until they fail, then tell us about it. We care about quality software that's easy to change, clear writing, and engineers who get curious about the customers, not just the tickets.

Compensation: Salary TBD based on experience. Medical/dental/vision covered in full for the employee. Company-provided equipment.

Apply with a brief resume and a cover letter (written or video — video goes to the front of the line). The cover letter matters; we read it first. Tell us what you've built, how AI has changed the way you work with specific examples, and why this team at this moment.

Candidates only, no recruiters. Feel free to reach out directly via email to wademeredith [at] axis care [dot] com if you have questions. Apply through the website.

Senior ML Engineer | Ping Data Intelligence | REMOTE or ONSITE (Miami, FL) | Full-Time | https://www.pingintel.com Ping Data Intelligence is a dynamic startup based in Miami, FL, revolutionizing the property insurance sector with cutting-edge web technologies and ML-powered tools. Despite rapid growth, we retain the stability of a self-funded, profitable company. Role Overview: As a Senior ML Engineer at Ping, you will sit at the intersection of research and data engineering — designing, training, and deploying machine learning models that power our property attribute classification, document extraction, and geospatial products. This is a hands-on role for someone who can read a paper in the morning, prototype an idea by lunch, and ship it to production by end of week. You will own ML systems end-to-end: from data pipeline design and feature engineering through model training, evaluation, and production deployment. The role is remote-friendly, with the option to work onsite at our Miami, FL office.

Responsibilities: Design, train, fine-tune, and evaluate ML models (LLMs, classification, sequence models) for property insurance. Build and maintain robust data pipelines that feed training, evaluation, and inference workloads at scale. Develop rigorous evaluation frameworks — establish metrics, build rater alignment processes, and apply statistical methods to determine when a candidate model is genuinely better than production. Run controlled experiments, ablations, and A/B tests; communicate findings clearly with appropriate uncertainty quantification. Deploy models to production and own their performance, drift monitoring, and iteration cycles. Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate ML services into our backend (Django/Python) and frontend (React/TypeScript) products. Stay current with the ML literature and translate relevant advances into practical improvements for our products.

    Required:

PhD in Statistics, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related quantitative field (or equivalent research experience with a strong publication or production track record). Strong foundation in statistics — experimental design, hypothesis testing, Bayesian methods, and uncertainty quantification. Minimum 5 years of combined research and applied ML experience, with a proven track record of shipping models to production. Deep proficiency in Python and the modern ML stack (PyTorch, Hugging Face, scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy). Hands-on experience with LLMs, including fine-tuning (LoRA/QLoRA, full fine-tunes), prompt engineering, and evaluation. Strong data engineering skills — comfort building reliable pipelines over messy real-world data, working with SQL and columnar formats. Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and written communication skills.

Why Join Ping: Work directly on ML systems that touch real production traffic from day one. Collaborate with a small, senior team of insurance and tech veterans building products that are reshaping the property insurance industry. Enjoy the autonomy of a research role with the impact of an applied one — your models will be in production, used by real customers, and you will see the results immediately. Please apply at jobs@pingintel.com
